In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, Advans Ghana Savings and Loans has granted its loan clients a grace period with specific measures adapted to each client’s situation
The move, according to the CEO of Advans Ghana, Mr. Olivier Bailly-Béchet, is to support small businesses and farmers to get through the crisis as well as support the country’s efforts to control the spread of the virus.
The CEO noted that Advans Ghana is “more than ever committed to this cause”. He added that all branches in the Greater Accra region and in Kumasi will remain open during the lock down period, in order to maintain proximity to clients and help them with transactions.
“The global outbreak of the COVID-19 crisis has already begun having a significant negative impact on many businesses and in this uncertain time, our objective is to relief clients from the burden of paying back their instalment while the virus is spreading. Most important for Advans Ghana management team now is to give everyone the opportunity to stay safe and focus on protecting their families and loved ones. Thousands of our clients have already been called by our teams and have accepted our offer to implement a grace period on their loans”, said Mr. Olivier Bailly-Béchet.
He added that clients can also make use of the Advans Mobibank service to conduct all their transactions from wherever they are in Ghana.
He assured that all measures have been taken in the various branches to keep clients and staff safe and healthy with systematic hand washing at the entrance, respecting of social distancing and sensitization of the public on how to be protected from COVID-19.
Mr. Olivier Bailly-Béchet said that “I am proud of the tremendous work our teams have been delivering to ensure we are ready to help our clients and borrowers to anticipate any financial risks they may face in the coming weeks”.
