Societe Generale, Enterprise Ghana to hold virtual AGMs

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many more public listed companies (PLCs) are resorting to virtual Annual General Meetings to take very vital resolutions.

Initially, they suspended the AGMs indirectly with the hope that when the COVID-19 pandemic reduces or is over the AGMs will take place.

AGMs are critically requirement for all PLCs which cannot be forego.

Societe Generale said in a circular to investors that its AGM will be held virtually and streamed live on https://sgghanaagm.com from its Head Office on Monday 20 July 2020.

This will enable them to transact businesses such as to suspend the declaration of dividend in compliance with Bank of Ghana’s directive and to also receive and adopt the Financial Statements of the Company for the year ended 31 December 2019.

Also, Enterprise Ghana Limited will hold a virtual AGM, streamed live from the company’s Head Office at on Tuesday, 7 July 2020 for all investors or shareholders.

The special resolution is to change the name of the company to Enterprise Group PLC.

For ordinary business, the company will announce the declaration of a final dividend.
