Golden Star Resources Limited is a gold mining and exploration company which owns and operates the Wassa open-pit gold mine and Wassa underground mine in Ghana as well as a carbon-in-leach processing plant located near Tarkwa, Ghana.  It holds a 90% interest in both the Bogoso and Wassa open-pit gold mines and Prestea Underground mine in Ghana.

Golden Star Resources Limited holds and manages interests in various gold exploration properties in Ghana and Brazil. Its headquarters are in Toronto, Canada.

 As of the close of day today, the share price of GSR is GHS 9.50. the financial statement of the company published on the GSE showed a net loss of $ 67,434,000 for 2019 and $ 18,123,000 in 2018.
