Financial Market: Is a term describing any marketplace where buyers and sellers participate in the trade of assets such as equities, bonds, currencies and derivatives. Financial markets are typically defined by having transparent pricing, basic regulations on trading, costs and fees, and market forces determining the prices of securities that trade.

STOCK MARKET FOCUS: Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) Composite Index decreases by 22.72 points yielding a return of -0.81% Yield-To-Date (YTD).

The benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) at the end of this week lost 22.72 points to close at 2,766.80 showing a YTD return of -0.81% as three (3) stocks recorded losers during this week.

The Market Capitalization at the close of this week decreased by GH₵403.26million to close trading at GH₵64.09billion translating into a growth of 0.34% in 2022.

A total of 5.4million shares valued at 5.9million traded this week; an increase of 120.70% in volume traded and 73.19% increase in value traded as compared to the previous week. MTNGH recorded most trades, representing 72.60% in total volume and 74.74% in total value traded this week.
