Samba Foods Limited

Samba Foods Limited is a wholly Ghanaian-owned indigenous food processing and preservation business in Ghana specializing in manufacturing and selling ready-to-eat convenience foods, condiments and seasonings for the domestic market and for export.

The company, which started as a micro-enterprise initiative, was incorporated in 1993 and commenced business the following year (1994) with its head office in Tema, Ghana.

Since then, it has developed into a major player in the processed foods industry with a broad range of high quality food products to its name with focus on the production of ready-to-eat convenience foods of Ghanaian origin. Samba Foods Limited was the first company to produce and distribute the local traditional pepper sauce popularly known as “SHITO”.

By a special resolution in October 2014, the company was converted from a private to a public limited liability company.

Products include peanut butter, pepper sauce, groundnut paste and roasted groundnut products. The company also grades, sorts and roasts peanuts used to produce chocolate pebbles.
