Tax Consultants

Our Tax Consultants Help Expats, Founders, and U.S. Citizens Globally

You can move, invest, expand or exit but the IRS still wants a word. Most Americans and expats don’t realize that moving countries, opening a foreign account, or giving up a green card can trigger IRS attention. We get it. Tax law wasn’t meant to be simple. But that’s why we exist. At Finance Focus, our tax consultants help U.S. citizens abroad, non-residents launching in the U.S., and international founders stay compliant while keeping more of what’s theirs. So wherever you are on the map, your tax strategy stays solid. Ready to stop guessing and start saving?

Daniel
San Francisco, CA

“I don't usually leave reviews, but their team explained the IRS requirements in plain English, and helped me file all the necessary corrections. They saved me thousands and possibly my sanity.”

Olivia
Seattle, WA

“Their understanding of cross-border corporate rules is impressive. What I liked most is they didn’t just file forms but gave us a long-term plan. I highly recommend any international business entering the USA to consult Finance Focus.”

Marcus
Charlotte, NC

“These tax consultants handled the IRS communication directly and got my case resolved without drama. Real people with real accountability I’d say.”

Priya
Jersey City, NJ

“I am a dual citizen with investments in India and a small consulting business in the U.S. Before, tax season was very stressful and confusing for me. But after I started working with CST, everything became much easier. They helped me with foreign tax credits, my 1040 tax return, and also made a plan for next year’s payments. I feel much more confident now because I know I have a team that understands and supports me.”

How Did We Get Into Tax Consultancy?

We launched the Finance Focus because we saw global entrepreneurs, expats, and dual citizens facing trouble with tax laws and IRS complexities. It didn’t feel right watching people pay more than they should just because the system was confusing. Our founders built Finance Focus to bridge that gap and become one of the top tax preparation firms in the USA. Today, from tax planning to foreign income reporting, we’re trusted by clients across borders, as we simplify U.S. tax globally.

Yes. The IRS expects you to report all worldwide income, regardless of where you live.

Expats often need FBAR, 2555, 1116, 8938, and sometimes 5471/8854 if you earn, own, or invest abroad.

The FEIE allows up to $130k of foreign-earned income in 2025 if you live and work abroad.

Yes. If your total foreign bank holdings exceed $10k anytime in the year, you must file FBAR FinCEN Form 114.

You may reduce or eliminate federal tax using FEIE/FTC but you'll still need to file. Avoiding forms = risking penalties.

If you’ve been lawful permanent residents for 8+ of the past 15 years or have a high-net-worth, you might face an exit tax.

Submitting wrong forms or missing disclosures like FBAR can trigger IRS penalties or audits.
